arielle came out of surgery around noon today.  the surgeon said everything went smoothly and was really pleased at how it all went. she is doing well.  so well, in fact, that the doctor said she could come home tonight if she wanted to.  she’s still in a lot of pain so i thought it [...]

we had a great day off! jonah woke up this morning, put on his uniform and groggily said “huh?” when i told him he wasn’t going to school today.  then he said, “oh, i forgot,” took off his clothes, put his pajamas back on and went back to bed.  they all woke up an hour [...]

i got confirmation today that the surgery has been scheduled for thursday, may 20th.

arielle is will be scheduled for a biopsy wednesday or thursday of next week (19th or 20th).  she’ll be in the hospital for a couple of days and if there are complications, a few more days. the procedure is called “left thoracoscopic biopsy of mediastinal mass.”  it is a major surgery, but it is not [...]

arielle’s doctor called me this morning.  she was finally able to reach the surgeon.  apparently, two out of the three orthopedic surgeons have been out of town. we have a consultation scheduled for tuesday afternoon with the surgeon to discuss the risks of the procedure and when they are likely to schedule the biopsy. daunting [...]

no new news … arielle’s doctors are still waiting to hear from the surgeon … still waiting …
